Julia Beery was born in Berkeley, CA in 1993, and continues to live and work in the Bay Area. Growing up going on hikes looking for wild mushrooms, she developed an interest in observing the details in nature. She received a BFA in Museum Conservation from New Mexico State University, and moved back to the Bay Area.
